Speaker Bio: Although Cora holds a formal degree in Communication, with a focus on Training & Development; and an MBA in Organizational Effectiveness, she is often heard to proclaim, “I learned a lot of my communication lessons from growing up with horses!”
Cora serves organizations through partnering with leaders to create purpose-driven mindsets and learning cultures. She has consulted in the real estate industry, finance, research, with first responders, and in the medical, governmental, and non-profit sectors.
She has partnered with well-known organizations such as HOLT CAT, Spurs Sports and Entertainment (Go Spurs Go), Frost Bank, Maloof Entertainment (Sacramento Kings), City of San Antonio, Aramark, Alamo Colleges Workforce Center, and many other San Antonio corporate legends.
In her work with leaders and teams her main focus is the development of emotional literacy ckmpetencies; self-awareness, self-management, relationship management, and social awareness.
Cora has also been an adjunct professor for over twelve years teaching Communication, Training & Development, and Business Leadership; both online and face-to face. While serving as a professor Cora created a Training & Development certificate degree program, as well as coached and mentored other adjuncts on adult learning methods and design.
She has served on the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Organizational Development Professionals and Association of Talent Development. Currently she serves as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the San Antonio Human Resource Management Association.
In her spare time and for fun Cora is a music enthusiastic who thoroughly enjoys getting away to a good jazz fest or any live music festival, particularly if it involves a beautiful drive to get there!
